The CAGR of visitor arrivals to Sri Lanka from 2010
to 2018 was approximately 15%, among the highest
in the World. Visitor numbers grew from about
654,000 in 2010 to over 2.3 million in 2018.
Forecasts today anticipate Sri Lanka welcoming 5
million visitors annually by 2030, driven by
increased international connectivity and investment,
enhanced infrastructure, and rising global interest in
Sri Lanka as an emerging experiential destination.
Figure 7 demonstrates the growth in passenger
arrivals to Sri Lanka in recent years.
